Cafe Nero is right in the town centre and has a bustling atmosphere with great staff. The manager is very positive about children and will happily provide you with access to the disabled toilet which is big enough for a pram and has a baby change in it, all on the ground floor.
There are plenty of comfortable sofas and discrete corners to feed baby - oh and great coffee too. So an all round hit. Much better than Costa accross the road.
The parent room in this store is one to set your standards by. Huge, clean, modern, comfortable with sofas, small private areas, superb changing areas and art on the walls it is faultless. Free wipes and nappys, bottle heaters and staff close to hand when needed. Also an automatic door so you don't struggle with your pram. Undoubtedly the best baby facilities I have come accross. Well done!
These shared changing facilities are satisfactory, there are two nappy changing bays and adequate room for prams. They are clean and reasonably well equiped.
Adjacent to the baby changing units are little private changing room style bays intended for breast feeding. They are too small for a pram, have uncomfortable seats and most importantly they are thick with dust and filthy dirty. No mother in her right mind would use them.
For a children's shop the facilities leave room for improvement. The bins for disposing nappies do not get emptied often enough, the stench is appalling. The room for breast feeding in is smaller than most and once there is one family in there, the prospect of others using the facility is slim.
Whilst the baby changing room is useful it falls way behind others and the cleanliness is poor. I would prefer to go to the nearby Boots which has much better a baby changing room.
Usual excellent changing and feeding facilities from Mothercare. They really set the standard for a high street chain. This particular shop has plenty of room for two mums to feed and change at the same time. It is conveninetly located right in the town centre in the Merseyway Shopping Centre.
After a nice walk by Derwent Water this is a superbly located cafe (on the first floor via a lift). I has seating both in the main cafe and the hall way which means you can choose where to sit to be descrete for breast feeding. The food is good and the cafe is bright and airy with great views.
There is a well equiped disabled toilet with fold down baby changing unit which is more than adequate.
Excellent cafe with plenty of seating suitable for breast feeding including sofas and comforatble arm chairs. They have a microwave and bottle warmers which means it is really simple to bottle feed.
The baby changing area in the toilets is large and modern, well equiped. If you want to be descrete there are some seats to breast feed here.
All the facilities are on the 2nd floor but easily accessed via the lift and the rear of the store.
Well done Debenhams for setting a high standard.
This is a great place to take kids, they host NCT (National Childbirth Trust) meetups on Mondays from 1pm. You don't feel that everyone is watching over you and the atmosphere is relaxed. The cafe is connected to Sainsburys and shares their excellent baby changing facilities which are big enough to draw a pram into.
