Proud as can be - the baby site

We have just re-mortgaged through a really great adviser based in Bollington. It is a really hard time to decide what is the best option for a mortgage especially with the mortgage crunch. John Weston was really helpful and the team were able to listen to our circumstances. Our 9 month old baby has been going to Rhythm Time music classes since she was very young and has always loved it. The classes are adapted for the age group of the children so you can be sure it is ideally suited for them. Our little girl at first came back asleep happy and exhausted from the stimulation. She really thrives on the music now and enjoys being able to play along with the musical instruments. I can thoroughly recommend the classes to anyone!

Since having a baby girl we have realised that it can be hard to find place to stay for a break which are happy to accept children. I have been having a look around the net to see what information I could gather to help other parents. The UK government recommend that a baby does not start weaning onto solids until he is 6 months old. Our breast fed baby seems to be almost constantly demanding food so we we're wondering about wether she is ready to start on some solids. We now have an impressive modern medical centre in Macclesfield which has drawn all the doctors surgeries into one location. This seems in most cases to be a benefit. However, yesterday my wife wanted to feed and change our baby whilst waiting for an appointment which was running late.

I was dissapointed to discover that she was told there were no facilities in the building for baby changing or breast feeding. This seems appalling to me in a purpose built modern medical facility which serves midwifery and post natal services for the whole Macclesfield area.

The National Childbirth Trust (NCT) are an organsation who are able to support breast feeding mothers via an excellent telephone helpline. Members can call a local support network of qualified advisers to help them when they need expert advice or just an understanding ear, any time of day or night.
